3D Printing
From quick prototypes to multi-colour and engineering-grade parts: the iStartLab has FDM and resin 3D printers for every stage of your project.

FDM printers
Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) builds parts layer by layer from a plastic filament. It is the fastest and most affordable way to prototype.
- 2× Bambu Lab X1-Carbon with AMS – 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Fast, multi-colour and multi-material printing.
- 1× Bambu Lab H2S with AMS 2 Pro – 340 × 320 × 340 mm. Heated chamber for engineering materials.
- 2× Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ – 250 × 210 × 210 mm. Reliable all-rounders.
- 1× Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ with enclosure and hardened steel nozzle – for abrasive filaments such as carbon- or glass-fibre composites.
- 1× Ultimaker 3 – dual extrusion, ideal for soluble supports. 215 × 215 × 200 mm.
- 2× Ultimaker 2 Extended – 223 × 223 × 305 mm, for taller parts.
- 1× Snapmaker Artisan – dual extrusion with a large 400 × 400 × 400 mm build volume.
- 1× Filament dryer – to keep moisture-sensitive filaments in top condition.
Resin printing
Resin (MSLA) printing cures liquid resin with UV light, giving very fine detail and smooth surfaces – great for small, precise parts.
- 1× Original Prusa SL1S SPEED – 127 × 80 × 150 mm, layers down to 0.025 mm.
- 1× Original Prusa CW1S – washing, drying and UV curing station for finishing resin parts.
Location and access
Location: MakerSpace, Pavilhão de Matemática, floor -1.
- Trained Makers can use the marked FDM printers on their own.
- Resin printing is always done with a member of our team.
- If a printer has a finished job, check the log sheet and ask its owner before moving it to the “Completed Prints” box.
- When you finish, clean up leftover material and put spools back in their place.
